Florida Training LODD Video

As I mentioned last week, I had the good fortune to attend the Missouri Fire Instructors Conference over the weekend. Along with coming home quite recharged, I also pulled away a great deal of helpful information. Over the next week, I’ll try to feed you all of the most relevant information.

One of the most noteworthy things I found during the conference was a link to the Florida LODD that occurred during a training evolution in 2002. I’ve found that we can preach all we want about firefighter safety, but nothing is more powerful than a video. If you’d like the full report of the incident, you can find it here. Otherwise, the video itself does a decent job of including incident pictures and building layouts to guide you through the incident.

To download a copy of the video, hit the Colorado Fire Camp website. Don’t forget to head the advice from the beginning of the video: Remember, Learn, Share.
